Unlike OSHA in the U.S., Canada has no federal body that has jurisdiction over the majority of private industries. Instead, each province has its own statute and regulations that industry must abide by. It does, however, have a national consensus standard, which was initially based on the American NFPA 70E. This presentation will briefly discuss Canadas approach to workplace electrical safety (standards and regulations), with particular focus on the CSA standard for Workplace Electrical Safety - Z462-15.
