EasyPower Integrated Method for Arc Flash Energy Calculations, and Applications
Integrated method is one of the options EasyPower provides to calculate the Arc Flash outputs. This option takes a more realistic approach to calculating the incident energy, and other arc flash results. The major difference of the integrated method with other (momentary, interrupting, and 30 cycle) methods is considering the current flow changes over the time. This topic is covered in depth in this presentation with some examples. This method was presented at the IEEE Electrical Safety Workshop (ESW) event in Reno, NV (Feb. 2017), and was well received. The paper has been accepted to be published in IEEE transactions magazine.
