Grounding Calculations in XGSLab's GSA_FD Software
This webinar, given by Roberto Andolfato and Daniele Cuccarollo at SINT Ingegnaria in Italy, gives an intermediate level introduction to the concepts of grounding calculations and how they can be applied using XGSLab's GSA_FD grounding software. The topics covered include using the GSA_FD software to enter data and then interpret soil resistivity (multilayer soil model), and touch and step voltage limits (IEC, IEEE, EN standards). They also discuss the main calculation process (voltage and current distribution), as well as the importance of taking self and mutual impedances into account. Finally they will cover post processing for calculation of earth potentials and touch and step voltages (use of reference points) and soil layer covering. The topics are covered in theory as well their practical application in the software.
